Selection delays are one of the biggest reasons whole-home remodels run long. The fix is a selection schedule that aligns decisions with the build sequence.

Common selections that should be decided early

• Flooring and transitions

• Kitchen layout, cabinetry, and appliance specs

• Countertops and backsplash direction

• Bathroom tile and waterproofing details

• Lighting plan and fixture locations

• Plumbing fixtures (so rough-in locations are correct)

• Door style, trim profile, and hardware finish

When selections are decided early, your contractor can order materials proactively and schedule trades efficiently.
