Exterior remodeling is a great time to improve comfort and efficiency because you’re already working on the envelope.

Upgrades to consider:

• attic insulation improvements (big impact on comfort)

• ventilation strategy (so heat and moisture don’t get trapped)

• air sealing at penetrations and transitions

• high-performance windows/doors when existing units are drafty or noisy

• cool roof options where appropriate (reduces heat gain and can make upper floors more comfortable)
