Before breaking ground, a professional build should have:

• A clear scope and spec list

• A realistic schedule (with lead times for windows, doors, cabinets, etc.)

• A site logistics plan (access, staging, deliveries, neighbor protection)

• A plan for inspections and critical path items

• A decision calendar (so you choose finishes before they stall the schedule)

The biggest “silent delay” in custom homes is late selections. Cabinets, tile, and windows take time. Decide early.
